Sophia Hollow

Sophia Hollow joins the NextGen program as a Cohort 4 fellow beginning in October 2026. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Santa Cruz, where her research in medicinal bioinorganic chemistry centered on arsenic-based compounds with anticancer applications. An NSF Graduate Research Fellow and co-inventor on a published patent, Sophia also had a paper selected as a Hot Article in Dalton Transactions, reflecting the quality and visibility of her graduate work.

The NextGen Nonproliferation Leadership Development Program is Funded by The Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation Research and Development (DNN-RD) as part of the Nonproliferation Stewardship Program (NSP).
