Londrea Garrett

Londrea Garrett is a Cohort 3 NextGen Nonproliferation Stewardship fellow and Darleane C. Hoffman Postdoctoral Fellow, working on the project “Comparative Study of Sampling Techniques for Isotopic Measurements of Molten Salts Using Laser Spectroscopy.” She earned her Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan in the Applied Nuclear Science Group under Prof. Igor Jovanovic, where her research focused on variations of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy for novel nuclear diagnostics in safeguards and advanced reactor applications, and her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester. As an undergraduate, Londrea worked at Rochester’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics on liquid crystal coatings for high-power laser polarizers. A recipient of the Nuclear Nonproliferation and International Safeguards Fellowship and the GEM Fellowship, she works with Dr. Vassilia Zorba at LBNL to advance safeguards instrumentation using laser spectroscopy techniques.
