Jacob Sebastian

Jacob Sebastian joins the NextGen program as a Cohort 4 fellow beginning in October 2026. They earned their Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley and bring a rare combination of technical depth and policy experience. Their research spans nuclear detection and scintillator physics, and they held positions at the Nuclear Threat Initiative, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories.
